Reborn: I Became a Tech Giant Through Deduction

Don't let how successful I became fool you. A trillion-yuan empire across six major sectors sounds impressive.

When I first awakened my ability to run simulations, I thought I'd hit the jackpot, too.

As it turned out, all it could do was calculate probabilities. It said, "68 percent chance of a rise," and I still had to prepare for a "32 percent chance of a crash." It also had a nickname: Doggo. It was snarky and loved to mock me, always tacking on, "Multiply the result by 0.7. Don't take it seriously."

In my previous life, I was a semiconductor engineer. Reborn in Zhengzhou, I rented a fourth-floor space on Wenhua Road to build chips.

People asked me, "Does Zhengzhou even have the right environment for that?"

The first wafer run failed. The second failed. The third failed, too. Three hundred bare dies piled up in the warehouse, not one of them packaged. Doggo said, "I'd start thinking about how you're going to cry."

At the very top of the whiteboard, I wrote just three words: Survive. Then, line by line, I added: Do the design. Make something. Sell it. Wait for people to come. Be worthy of their trust. It took me two years to dare to write the fifth line.

Those sixteen years weren't lived year by year. They were lived furnace by furnace.

After that, things got even harder. When we acquired an appliance factory, the seller had just one condition: keep on every employee. We built our own production line, pouring in 5.2 billion yuan. In its first month, the yield was 17 percent.

Sixteen years later, I was still standing. People asked how I won. I couldn't really explain. If I had to say, it was because the light in that fourth-floor room stayed on for sixteen years without ever going out.
