The Wrong Year in Nanye

He Yi Zhou had always thought Nan Wan was a foreign student with no one to rely on.

She clung to him, pestered him, and wouldn't let him so much as glance at another woman. He indulged her, thinking she was simply insecure.

That was until his family forced him to return to China and take his missing older brother's place by marrying his pregnant girlfriend.

He didn't even have the right to explain. All he dared to send was one message: “Let's break up.”

The day Nan Wan came back to Huzhou to find him, the richest man in Huzhou opened her car door himself. A European prince called on video to ask, “Who bullied my granddaughter?” Her gangster uncle asked, “Which family should I wipe out?”

Only then did He Yi Zhou realize what kind of woman he'd just broken up with.

But the first thing she said was:

“He Yi Zhou, I don't blame you.”

“But you're the only one I'll ever accept. Whoever you marry, I'll kill.”

Later, his older brother came back, and the child wasn't part of the He family.

Nan Wan cornered him against the wall:

“So, what excuse do you have now for not wanting me?”
