Su Qingyuan, the legitimate daughter of the Su family, is betrayed by her relatives. Pregnant, she flees the capital and goes into hiding in the mountains, where she gives birth to a son alone.

On one trip down the mountain, the adorable child runs into Xiao Linyuan, a cold-faced war god with power over the entire court.
At first sight, the little one is certain: this is the father he’s never met!
“Mother, that war god is my dad!”
When the war god, whose heart has been frozen shut, meets the child, his defenses crumble, and he begins a long journey to win back his wife.
Their old enemies close in at every turn, and mother and son are surrounded by danger.
The family of three join forces to overcome every obstacle and defeat all their enemies, then live together in peace as they claim dominion over thousands of miles of land.
