The Smiling, Proud Wanderer: The Zither and Sword Return to the Sect

After seven years of seclusion at Plum Manor, Linghu Chong's old injuries flare up. A fragment of the score for "Guangling San" leads to the mystery of the lost "Taixuan True Scripture," missing for a hundred years. Then the iron cavalry of the Western Regions' Holy Fire Cult invades from the east, rekindling the flames of a martial world that had long since quieted. Ren Yingying wields her qin as a blade, while Linghu Chong swears himself to his longsword. Together, husband and wife step into the currents of intrigue sweeping across the land. From the Living Dead Tomb on Mount Zhongnan to the bronze coffin in the underground palace at Black Tomb Cliff, from the giant sea serpent off Quanzhou Harbor to the last rays of holy fire on Bright Summit, they seek more than the martial arts secrets that can heal wounds and prolong life. They also seek an answer about legacy and the way home. With qin and sword united, they laugh proudly across the martial world, and all their feuds and passions become an immortal legend on this journey home.
