The First Fake Official of the Late Ming: Starting by Impersonating a County Magistrate

In the seventh year of Chongzhen, a severe drought grips Henan.

Xu Feng, a PhD in Ming history, transmigrates into the body of a starving refugee on the verge of death, only to find a county magistrate's seal in a ruined temple.

On his first day in office, the deputy magistrate tries to undermine him.

On his first night, a local magnate sends assassins after him.

On his third day, Xu Feng summons soldiers from the garrison and surrounds the Zhao estate.

Forty thousand taels of silver, three thousand eight hundred shi of grain, and twelve hundred mu of good farmland are seized in a single night!

From then on, he distributes land to save the people, recruits and trains troops, clears wasteland, and digs wells, building a mighty fortress amid the turmoil of the Late Ming.

But as his territory grows, Xu Feng faces a fatal question:

What will happen if the court discovers that Sun, the famous county magistrate of Henan, is an impostor?

Xu Feng looks at the countless troops behind him and slowly puts on his official robes.

“Once, I needed these robes to prove who I was.”

“Now, I'll decide who is an official and who is a bandit.”
