Synopsis:
In the old world, enough food had been stockpiled to feed the entire city for six months. On the seventh day, the warehouses were empty.
On the seventh day after the apocalypse began, Li Wei had only three compressed biscuits and half a bottle of water in his pocket. He escaped the looting, crossed the ruins, and climbed over a road choked with abandoned cars. In an underground parking garage, he met a woman named Gu Zhen.
Her arm was wrapped in bandages. A lighter was tucked in her pocket, and she carried a map showing the locations of supply depots from the old world. On the back of the map was written: From today on, people are supplies.
They had to survive.
But after order had completely collapsed, survival became a transaction more brutal than the apocalypse itself. You could trade half a tin of expired food for a piece of information, a bottle of liquor for a life, or one person's trust for another person's chance to live.
When all the old world's rules had shattered, new ones began growing through the cracks in the ruins.
Those rules were more terrifying than the monsters.
