After reading these five chapters, after reading each chapter, I feel the kind of feeling of being suddenly separated when the lights suddenly come on when the movie ends.
Personally, I feel that the writing style is very comfortable. There is no ambiguity in the wording, but it is not boiled water at all. The wording, metaphors and scene description are just right. It reads smoothly and has a sense of picture.
The ending of each chapter is particularly clever. It's like the end and the beginning - like the end of a movie where the protagonist has just found the meaning of living, and the subtitles rise in the next second; and like the trailer for the second season, telling you that the story has just begun.
The five characters have completely different identities and situations, and each has a distinct personality. Any one of them can be the protagonist of an independent novel. I really couldn't resist loving this kind of group portrait in which everyone can play their own part, so much that I wanted to stay up all night and watch it all in one go.
