Fujimaru Ritsuka, Chaldea's last Master, wakes up to find herself dropped into the Penacony Holy Grail War. The good news: she's the unregistered eighth team, so the rules don't apply to her. The bad news: the Grail is fake, the war is a variety show, and the villain uses the audience's popularity as magical energy. The even worse news: her Servant, Queen Morgan, may be cold-faced, but she keeps a tighter rein on Ritsuka than anyone else. Ritsuka was planning to sit in the audience, eat, and watch the show, until someone flipped her dining table. The whole audience shouted: “Number Eight, get in there!” Before long, all of Penacony understood: being beyond the rules was useful for enjoying a meal, and for turning the entire battlefield upside down.
