At midnight, I climbed into the coffin and finally saw the rules on the wall: First, make no sound. Second, do not leave the coffin. Third, pay with an organ for every hint. I silently opened the System interface. The hint window lit up: the third rule had a typo. It said “qi official” when it meant “breathing organ.” In other words, I had to hold my breath for every hint. When the first stiff hand reached into the coffin, I held my breath, and the hint suddenly flickered: “Warning: the rules themselves are a trap. You are being marked as ‘the most compliant vessel.’”
