He came from the modern world. In this life, he was born a lowborn son, and became a Brocade-Clad Guard to stay alive.
She was the person he was assigned to protect.
When he learned she was Daiyu, he was overjoyed.
After Meng Yancheng saved her life again and again, someone warned him that he must not get involved with her.
When he broke Jia Baoyu's leg for her, he had no idea he had already crossed the line.
He was a Brocade-Clad Guard. He knew he could no longer have anything to do with her. Even if he only went to see her in private and nothing happened, it was still forbidden.
He sat high in a tree, watching the lamp glow as Daiyu embroidered green bamboo while waiting beneath it.
What he didn't know was that the bamboo was meant for him. She was simply embroidering it, with no idea when she might be able to give it to him!
Just when Meng Yancheng thought that was how things would end, just as they had in his previous life,
Daiyu was targeted once more, and he appeared through the flames to save her.
For the first time, Meng Yancheng and Daiyu could meet openly.
She was held in his arms, and her innocence was gone.
No one knew that he had helped bring about half of it.
He simply wanted her for himself.
I want to ask, does this book have a single female protagonist? If it has a single female lead, I'll watch it. If not, I won't watch it.
This is a world where various characters travel through the world of Red Mansions and are reborn and awakened. Meng Yanchen comes through the book, Lin Daiyu and Jia She awaken, and Xue Baochai is reborn. Looking forward to the follow-up story
It looks good so far, but I don't know what will happen in the future.
