This is a Journey to the West world where people wield supernatural abilities.
Four clear-eyed but clueless college roommates swear brotherhood in their dorm while worshipping a Tang Sanzang figurine, only to have their souls transmigrate together into Tang Sanzang, Wukong, Bajie, and Sha Seng!
And so, the foul-mouthed Tang Sanzang, the deathly afraid and perpetually cautious Wukong, the trash-talking Zhu Bajie, and the nearly invisible schemer Sha Seng appear on the road to the West.
The gods and Buddhas in the heavens are at their wits’ end over these four lunatics!
From the start, at Guanyin Monastery, they face the rampaging Black Wind Monster. The Great Sage Equal to Heaven turns his horse around and bolts, Zhu Bajie stands at the front lines and hurls insults nonstop, while Sha Seng turns invisible and attacks from behind.
Tang Sanzang whips out an RPG. “Today, this humble monk will teach you what it means to be saved by physical force!”
