You Sent Eleven Golden Edicts? I Grant Yue Fei the Axe of Authority!

Yue Fei fan fiction + history (Thanks for reading)

After transmigrating into Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of Song, he is forced from the start by the powerful minister Qin Hui to issue the twelfth Golden Writ recalling Yue Fei.

The first eleven Golden Writs have already been sent. Ten years of hard-won gains by the Yue Family Army are about to be destroyed, and the backbone of the Great Song is about to snap!

To hell with cowering in a corner! To hell with Fengbo Pavilion!

Zhao Gou furiously tears up the retreat order and takes up his brush to rewrite the twelfth Golden Writ: “A general in the field need not obey every command from the throne! I grant Yue Fei the authority to command the army and make his own decisions about the northern campaign! Anyone who dares speak of retreat will be executed on the spot, without mercy!”

As soon as the imperial decree is issued, the dormant System roars to life! The officials at court who favor peace are scared witless. On the front lines, Yue Fei holds the twelfth Golden Writ aloft and lets out a long cry to the heavens, drawing his sword and pointing it straight at Bianjing!

When the Snow Dragon Cavalry storms Hening Prefecture, and the smoke of flintlock guns fills the lands north of the desert, Wanyan Zongbi falls to his knees and wails, blood in his tears: “What happened to the supposedly weak and bookish Great Song? Zhao Gou is clearly a tyrant!”
