1991 Eastern Conference Finals, Game 3. The Pistons are down 0–2 to the Bulls, trailing 88–95 with three minutes left in the third quarter. Head coach Chuck Daly puts in Luo Hou, a Dragon Nation second-round pick who has never played in the NBA. The whole arena is stunned.
But Luo Hou awakens a System and gains the templates of Bill Russell, Ben Wallace, and Dennis Rodman! In just one minute on the court, he grabs five rebounds and blocks two shots, tying the game. Over the next five games, he averages 15.4 points, 32.2 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 5.3 blocks, leading the Pistons to win four straight and beat the Bulls 4–3, crushing Jordan’s bid for immortality and completing a three-peat.
When the season ends, the whole league goes crazy.
At the 1992 Olympics, he leads China to a silver medal. In Atlanta in 1996, he personally sends the China Men's National Basketball Team to the top of the world.
In 2013, Luo Hou retires.
Chuck Daly says with red-rimmed eyes, “I love him so much! He helped me win three straight championships... It’s a shame I only coached him for nine games. If I’d discovered his talent sooner, maybe we could’ve won five or six titles.”
Kevin Garnett grins. “I got to be Luo Hou’s teammate? Those were the easiest days of my life. All I had to do was scream and pound my chest. Rebounds? Blocks? That was his job.”
Duncan: “He turned me from the Big Fundamental into the Big Lounger.”
Popovich: “Without him, there would be no Spurs dynasty!”
Pat Riley: “I dream of coaching him!”
Shaquille O'Neal: “He told me the future was mine, but the damn guy was still winning championships at thirty-five!”
Jordan: “The subtitle guy has crashed...”
His name is Luo Hou, the man who made the NBA tremble for twenty years.
It's just that in the first scene where the protagonist made a common sense mistake, points were deducted for only three quarters, but the rest was fine.
