[Cultivation + Farming + Lighthearted]
[Slow burn at first, with the best parts coming in the middle and later. Please be patient!]
The blurb doesn’t do it justice. Read the story to find out more.
The human heart is an abyss of desire, and greed is never satisfied. As the saying goes, immortals and mortals are worlds apart, yet everyone dreams of becoming immortal!
Cultivation flourishes across the Yuanchu Continent. The first cultivator, the True Person Yuanchu, made a grand vow: to give every human the chance to cultivate, strengthen humanity, and free it from the suffering inflicted by demons. Little did he know that his actions defied the natural order. Acting on Heaven’s will, ten great emperors of the demon clans joined forces to hunt him down. In the end, both sides perished, and the Dao of Heaven was gravely wounded by the True Person Yuanchu during the battle. It lost its intelligence and could only evolve by instinct.
With the Dao of Heaven no longer keeping watch, the difference between humans and demons became merely a matter of outward appearance. Powerful immortals act as its agents, wielding the authority to control Heaven’s punishments and taking pleasure in playing with the mortal world.
As the golden age of cultivation came to an end, resources grew ever scarcer, and even humans began to embrace the law of the jungle, where the strong prey on the weak.
To this day, the legend of the True Person Yuanchu continues to influence every generation of human cultivators on the Yuanchu Continent. They say that whoever finds the Daoist legacy he left behind will free humanity from its shortage of cultivation resources and incomplete techniques, and lead it to revival once more.
But as the various factions search for the treasure, each has its own agenda. Some collude with demons, some want the legacy all to themselves, and others exploit lower-level cultivators through their control of resources and cultivation techniques, dismissing the legacy as worthless.
The protagonist, Liu Xia, is no transmigrator and no great philanthropist. He’s just another ordinary member of this so-called cultivation world…
Very good. I recommend it here.
No nonsense, it's starting to look fast paced! There is nothing poisonous about the first 20 chapters.
