~The story is about to begin~
When N, a senior materials scientist at the Jinglei Technology Research Institute, first extracted an almost transparent liquid from a meteorite, he had no idea whether he was witnessing the dawn of a civilization or the end of a species.
The Nano Protocol offered storage stability that was almost indestructible. By the third generation, nanites were no longer mere materials. They were alive.
The gelatinous beasts injected with nanite fluid and stripped of all freedom, the ultimate combat forms born from the fusion of metal and gelatinous blood, the entity once sealed deep within the base, and the memories left unopened at the end...
A secret was hidden across several generations of protocols.
Who was that person? What did he truly want? What was the future he saw? He never showed anyone the whole truth...
N thought he was choosing the future, until he realized he was part of what had been chosen.
The Nano Protocol never stopped. This is an archaeological investigation into the beginning and the end... The forgotten project, the door that is always shut, the eyes watching from behind dark gold cuff links. The story began with that meteorite, and there, too, it reaches its finale.
