Tomb Raiding: We're Just Taking What We Need, So Why Are You All Staring at Me?

[OOC + Doesn't Cave to Pressure + Chen Pi's Daughter + CP with Hei Ye + Strong Leads + Unconventional Mind Reading + Each Gets What They Want + Reborn + Tough on the Outside, Soft on the Inside]

Chen Qiyue, daughter of the poison doctor Su Ruohe and the illegitimate daughter Chen Pi A Si left behind in the outside world.

She should have lived a carefree life of wealth, enjoying the inheritance her mother left her.

Until one day, an ancient voice awoke in her mind:

[Save my children.]

It was the dragon vein. Chen Qiyue was the ninth person it had chosen.

Chen Qiyue refused.

She didn't believe in free gifts, much less wishes.

Until the day she suddenly changed her mind. As for the terms... let me think.

A few days later, a shocking incident rocked Changsha:

Chen Pi A Si was tied up by his own daughter.

Before leaving, she also casually whisked away a man in sunglasses who worked for Chen Pi.

Hei Xiazi was a man of the underworld, sharp-tongued and hard to kill, with a host of skills hidden beneath his laid-back facade.

He had a secret: he could hear the voice in Chen Qiyue's mind.

Dragon Vein: Save my children, and I'll grant you anything.

Yue: Can you bring the dead back to life?

The dragon vein fell silent.

Yue (offering candy): My mother said that when things are too bitter, you should eat something sweet.

Xia (kissing her)

Yue: Is it sweet?

Xia: Sweet.

Tsk, who are you talking about?

Later on...

They all got their happy ending.

All three won their bets.

Chen Qiyue, who had died eight lifetimes trying to save her mother, finally lived for herself once. This time, she didn't lose her bet.

Bonus scene

Pi: What do you see in him?

Yue: His face.

Pi: I don't approve.

He: I felt the same way back then.

Yue: Who says I'm joking?
