“Marshal, you have finally deigned to appear.”
The Custodians kneel in a sea around him. Alpharius says, “You have the wrong person.”
“Your subordinate understands. A covert mission requires a cover.”
He says he is Alpharius, and the entire galaxy assumes he is undercover. He investigates the whereabouts of the real Horus, and everyone praises his modesty.
On the eve of the Horus Heresy, all twenty Primarchs have somehow been handed the wrong scripts:
Magnus tears apart the library and swings an axe, complaining that psychic powers are for sissies.
Angron pulls out his nails and starts chewing on philosophy, then sets up literacy classes for the World Eaters.
Sanguinius secretly rallies people to rebel, convinced he’s doing a brilliant job of hiding it.
Curze builds a waterworks on Nostramo and becomes an exemplary Imperial governor.
Everyone is completely unhinged. Only Alpharius is sane, and he’s still clutching the original script for the Heresy.
The script is clear: the Heresy officially begins in three days.
But now the rebel leader has vanished, and the only person in the entire galaxy who hasn’t switched scripts is being mistaken for the Warmaster by the whole Imperium.
The real Horus has acquired his memories and is using his methods to hide in the shadows. Even the Alpha Legion’s informants can’t find a trace of him.
Looking at the ship packed with kneeling Custodians, Alpharius falls into thought:
It seems I’ll have to play Warmaster for now.
As long as he is serious and crazy, Hammer is actually okay as long as he is not particularly dramatic. But Horus hid himself, my 30 years, the returning son, the centaur, the golden ring, I love my father, how can I make up for my father's love for me, and that one, I forgot the front, the middle, and the back, even if the galaxy is burning, where can I make up for it 😢 😢
A very fresh subject matter, I have never seen a transposition apocrypha before. There is a hint of madness and humor in the calm writing. But maybe because the language is too concise, it seems a bit dry. It would be better if more details could be filled in, or some events that were less related to the main line could be added. Now the mainline process is too fast, but this can be considered an advantage. But I think even if I don't change this book, it will become popular sooner or later, because the subject matter is so exciting!! 🤭
