Prologue to a Hellish Confession

Silver-haired germaphobic madman × black-eyed undercover rose | Intense push and pull | A groveling pursuit of his wife | Forbidden beauty

The monster fell in love with his prey.

What would the best ending be? Letting her escape. But he refuses.

The moment Qi Yanqin pushed open the door, the silver-haired man was standing in the middle of a pool of blood. Only two colors remained in the laboratory: the crimson floor and the snow-white man.

He should have killed her. But he stopped.

“Your eyes are black.” He tilted his head, as if appraising a prized possession.

“A beautiful shade of black.”

From then on, every night she lived beneath the gaze of a pair of smoky-gray eyes. He was Louis De: an art professor with a severe aversion to dirt, abstinent and restrained. He was also a bloodthirsty creature of the night, elegant, deranged, and utterly obsessive.

He called her his “little rose,” admiring her thorns and taking even greater pleasure in breaking them, inch by inch.

Surveillance, testing, pursuit, confinement. Forced into his blood-red gallery, she became his one exception, and his only desire.

But he didn’t know that a rose’s thorns have always grown in soil no one can see.

As he sank deeper and deeper, the killing intent she had kept hidden finally bared its blade. Only then did this hunt, born of fear, reach its true end:

Who was the hunter, and who had their teeth at the other’s throat?

“He stood in the blood as if standing on a shattered mirror.”

“She was his only impurity, and his only salvation.”
