Great Ming: I Just Started Slacking Off, and Old Zhu Overheard My Thoughts

Zhu Yunye transmigrated into the Ming dynasty and became Zhu Biao’s second legitimate son. Knowing how grim the late Ming dynasty would become, he promptly bound himself to the “Lie Flat Nation’s Fate System” and decided to be a lazy baby who ate his fill and waited for death. But he never expected that Zhu Yuanzhang could hear his thoughts! Empress Ma was critically ill, the imperial physicians were helpless, and the whole court was terrified. Zhu Yunye grumbled inwardly: [This is bad! Once Grandma the Empress dies, that old geezer will go on a killing spree! Her appendicitis could be cured with surgery, so why insist on taking herbal medicine?] Zhu Yuanzhang was shocked. He immediately followed the words he’d heard and summoned a master surgeon, forcing him to save Empress Ma! Zhu Yunwen recited his books, earning the praise of great scholars. Zhu Yunye chuckled to himself: [Give me a break. This bookworm will rebel against his own uncles, and the Jianwen reign will squander the Ming dynasty’s foundations!] Nearby, Prince of Yan Zhu Di heard him and dropped to his knees in fright, kowtowing like a pestle pounding grain! … As sweet potatoes and potatoes spread throughout the land and an invincible fleet sailed overseas, Zhu Yunye helplessly realized that he was still a baby in swaddling clothes, so how had he become heir to the Ming throne? Zhu Yuanzhang laughed with his hands on his hips. “What a fine grandson! Keep cursing in your heart, and my Ming armies will soon be marching all the way to Europe!”
