Tao Ran was once a genius game designer who created the dark fantasy game "The Punisher".
In the game, he created eight heroes, each with a unique background. They were once the players' favorite characters, but each met a tragic end because of the path fate had set for them.
After an accident, Tao Ran finds himself in a strange fantasy continent.
There are no familiar game rules here, and this is not the world he created. Yet eight “heroes” strikingly similar to those in "The Punisher" exist here.
They are no longer data or code. They are real people with feelings, memories, and pasts.
The Black Book mage, the lost knight, the holy inquisitor, the Queen of the Night, the Thunder Berserker, the demon-hunting ranger...
The characters he once created, and whose lives were tormented by fate, now appear before him one by one.
Tao Ran discovers that the abyss is consuming this world, and a war that will decide the fate of the star spirits, the fiends, and all living beings is about to begin.
An ancient prophecy says that the sleeper will change the world's future.
But no one knows that the person chosen by the prophecy is a game designer from another world.
“I created them. I wrote their endings.”
“This time, you can write your own endings, including mine.”
When creator and characters meet again, they will write a whole new legend together.
