NBA: A Sixty-Year-Old Veteran, Dunking on the King from the Start

Sixty-two-year-old Chen Shanhe is desperate to save the community gym that’s about to be shut down, so he joins a street prank show. The host holds out a microphone and laughs. “Old-timer, can you afford to pay for a broken hoop?”

Chen Shanhe straightens the camera. “You’d better stand back first.”

The next second, the backboard shatters. The video goes viral across America, and the Cavaliers general manager offers him a ten-day contract.

Nobody knows that Chen Shanhe has the [Super GOAT System] inside him. Every point, rebound, assist, and block he earns in an official game turns back his bone age. In his debut against the Heat, he catches the ball with his back to the basket, drives past LeBron James, knocks him out of bounds, and slams it home with one hand.

The whole league treats him like a sideshow, but he gets younger by the day. Reporter Xu Zhixia won’t stop chasing his secret. His Cavaliers teammates see him as their last hope, while the Heat Big Three are determined to put an end to this ridiculous farce with their own hands.

Chen Shanhe only wants a contract and to save that gym. But when the Cavaliers make a run for the playoffs, he finally realizes that he’s also fighting to reclaim the NBA dream that time took from him.
