Yin-Yang Pawnshop: Even the King of Hell Has to Book an Appointment

A thousand years ago, the old Heavenly Law was withdrawn by the Heavenly Dao for its heartless rigidity. Taking advantage of the rift in the laws, the ancient evil god Yan began to corrupt them. The Heavenly Dao shattered the Heavenly Law into eighteen pieces and established the Yin-Yang Pawnshop as a mechanism to mend the heavens, choosing a pawnshop keeper whose role would be passed down through the generations. Zhong Yu, a descendant of Zhong Kui and the seventh keeper, wields an eighteen-bead peachwood prayer bracelet passed down for a thousand years to judge wrongful cases from both the living and the dead, and repair the fragments of the Heavenly Law. The eighteenth bead requires the sacrifice of its spirit, and that spirit is his younger sister, Shen Yuan. Zhong Yu's ultimate mission is not to restore the old Heavenly Law, but to build a new one, with justice as its bones and human compassion as its blood.
