From the Start, I Fake My Death and Conquer the World by Making Bricks

[Infrastructure-building + political intrigue + female emperor]

Since childhood, Su Jue had believed that she made her own fate, not heaven. In her previous life, she had worked her way up from a kiln worker to a business magnate running several companies, with an empire spanning the globe.

Then she transmigrated into the body of a “criminal’s daughter,” whose father had been discarded and killed by the emperor once he was no longer useful.

Exiled three thousand li from the start, she still had the emperor’s assassins lying in wait along the road.

Looking at the guards with their long blades, Su Jue sneered. “Just in time.”

A landslide and a few corpses later, she and her family crawled out of the “pile of bodies.”

Thinking she was dead, the emperor announced to the world that the “criminal had been executed.”

From then on, Su Jue concealed her identity and started with a desolate village, making charcoal and bricks, building roads and constructing a city.

When chaos engulfed the land, vassal kings fought one another and rebel armies rose everywhere. Everyone wanted to become emperor.

Once they had fought themselves to exhaustion, Su Jue stepped forward.

A vassal king asked, “Who are you?”

She displayed the old military banner of the Su family. “Haven’t you been fighting all this time, waiting for me to come?”

No wonder Su Jue had always felt something was missing in her previous life. It was because she had never claimed the highest seat of all.
