The heroine, Jiang Ruanruan, was once a top socialite. After going bankrupt overnight, she was bullied by her awful relatives and ex-boyfriend. With nowhere else to turn, she entered a secret marriage contract with Gu Chengzhou, the capital's number-one playboy. Jiang Ruanruan accidentally bound herself to the “Immortal Palace Enlightenment System.” Completing rent-collection or romance missions allows her to awaken the objects around her. Soon the sofa at home is talking back, the bedside lamp is interrogating people, and even the toilet in her mansion is helping her eavesdrop on her enemies. Jiang Ruanruan has to fight her way through the Gu family's power struggles while dealing with her flirtatious husband's various tests of seduction. Thanks to her quirky personality and her golden finger with objects, she not only brings her bankrupt family back from the brink, but also turns the hardest-to-tame second young master in the capital into a husband who can't stop keeping an eye on her.
