Transmigrated to a Famine Year: Surviving in the Mountains with a System

[A Brief Period of Lying Low] + [Ruthless and Decisive] + [Transmigration] + [Turbulent Times] + [Battle for Supremacy] + [Infrastructure Building] + [Single Female Lead]

Chen Jianfeng wakes up one day and finds himself transmigrated to the border of the fictional Great Chu dynasty.

The entire realm of Great Chu is suffering its worst drought in a century. Rivers have run dry and the earth has cracked. The government and bandits have seized control of the water, barbarian tribes from the west are raiding the region, and corpses litter the land. Millions of refugees are on the move, and ordinary people can scarcely hope to survive.

As Chen Jianfeng is on the verge of starving to death, he awakens the “Mountain and Sea Daily Pact,” which lets him exchange something for a filling meal for one person or a small amount of supplies each day.

Seeing that the plains are a death trap without water, Chen Jianfeng happens to save a woodcutter named Zhou Laogen and takes in some refugees. After enduring countless hardships, he retreats to Hidden Spring Valley deep in the mountains, builds a sanctuary amid the chaos, gathers strength and supplies, and occasionally ventures out to raid the barbarian tribes and bandits.

When bandits attack the valley, he makes an example of them and slays the enemy.

When the authorities try to seize the water, he crushes them with overwhelming force.

When the western tribes raid south, he captures and kills them all.

He lies low for a while in the mountains, building up his strength, sheltering the people, and honing himself.

As all the various powers fight over every drop of water and wear one another down, Chen Jianfeng guards his own secluded paradise and waits for the right moment. One day, he will emerge from the mountains and sweep across the land.
