In 1928, the situation in Northeast China suddenly changed. Lu Zheng, a modern military researcher, accidentally came to that turbulent era and became Gu Weiyue, a young officer stationed at Peking University Camp.
Relying on his understanding of the laws of war and historical trends, he quietly prepared for the upcoming crisis by reorganizing military affairs, improving training, stockpiling supplies, and contacting talents from all parties.
Three years later, smoke suddenly rose outside Fengtian City. Faced with the sudden attack and chaotic situation, Gu Weiyue made a choice to change his destiny. He led his men to preserve their strength, escort the people, and protect the technical personnel, leaving behind a team unwilling to surrender among the white mountains and black waters.
From guarding a military camp, to defending the entire Northeast, to joining the national war of resistance, this is a story of a soldier's continuous growth, and a story of a group of ordinary people guarding their homeland in times of crisis.
