He was the son of Baozheng from Xixi Village in Yuncheng in the Northern Song Dynasty. He had just finished confronting Confucius and was given a beating by the ruler. The father treated the husband to a drink and stuffed him with fifty taels of silver before sending him away. He turned around and slapped the table and yelled at me: "I'll sit in the back row for class tomorrow! If you dare to talk nonsense again, your legs will be broken!" I rubbed my back and thought: This father is much tougher than a ruler.
