"As of today, all of Ms. Shen Yue's actions are unrelated to the Shen family."
The Shen family issued this statement cutting ties with their fake heiress while I was working on my thesis.
Everyone said she deserved it, that she was a wicked fake heiress. But I could only think of the girl who had reached out to me on the playground.
He found her.
In an old apartment building, in a hallway with peeling walls, she stood behind an iron gate and watched him warily. "Here to laugh at me?"
I stayed by her side, starting with a bowl of noodles, a trip to the supermarket, and a lantern festival, and helped her leave that ruin behind.
Little by little, she dared to go outside, take off her mask, and act again.
But later, when they were saying goodbye at the end of the dating show, she spoke first. "Lu Ming, I've never liked you."
A seven-year-long unrequited love, and two people quietly saving each other.
