I Can See Opportunities, but the Red-Light Girl Plays by No Rules

Lin Lu has been able to see opportunities since he was a child. White means a bit of luck, blue means a benefactor, and gold marks a chance powerful enough to change your life. He has seen many colors, but never red. Until the first day of his second year of high school, when Xu Lin walked toward him from the end of the corridor. Everyone at school knew her. She came from a privileged family, excelled in her studies, loved dancing, and was always gentle and courteous to everyone. She seemed incapable of embarrassing anyone or abandoning her principles for anyone. But behind her, Lin Lu saw a sky full of red light. A red thread only he could see stretched from her fingertips and wound around his wrist. Lin Lu wanted nothing more than to stay away from this opportunity he couldn’t understand. But Xu Lin stopped in front of him, her eyes slightly red, as though she had been waiting for many years. “Lin Lu, I’ve finally found you again.” “Do we know each other?” The girl was quiet for a moment, then smiled. “Not yet.” Only later did Lin Lu learn the truth. She reasoned with everyone else. But when it came to him, after living a second life, she had no intention of doing that anymore.
