Honghuang: Reborn as a Purple Bamboo, I Leave the Three Pure Ones Staring

On a bare, bald mountain east of Kunlun, a purple bamboo stalk stood. I was counting the starlight filtering through the gaps between my leaves when the doors of the Three Pure Ones Hall suddenly opened. The Grand Pure One, Laozi, stared in my direction for three breaths. He turned to Yuanshi and said the bamboo had gained sentience. Yuanshi glanced over and said its origins were ordinary. I curled the tip of a leaf and dared not sway. Lingbao was already descending this way on sword energy.
