[No Romance + Empress + A World in Chaos]
Xu Man transmigrates into an ancient world where the laws of nature don’t apply.
Some people are born with supernatural abilities. She has one too: a very useful word-spirit, though it comes with side effects.
The wider its range, the more astonishing its effects, and the worse her health becomes. The trouble is, she even cast a spell on herself to keep from dying, so every day she bounces between being full of life and nearly dead.
All she wanted was to keep her golden finger under wraps and live quietly.
Then the realm falls into chaos. The rich, the powerful, and those with connections all carve out their own territories and declare themselves rulers. Countless people are displaced and starving, and the world becomes a living hell.
Xu Man realizes she can’t just watch people she knows die. She can’t stay out of it. Since she can’t stand by and do nothing, she might as well raise the banner of rebellion and lead them to a way out.
Before long, heroes everywhere notice a new force rising at astonishing speed. Its leader is a woman, and what’s more, she looks terribly frail, always either coughing up blood or on her way to do so.
The warlords scoff: “So this really is a time of chaos. Even a sickly girl can become a lord now. She’ll be dead by tomorrow.”
But the sickly girl turns out to be remarkably hard to kill. No matter what happens, she just won’t die, and she grows stronger by the day, steadily surpassing them all.
By the time they realize what’s happening, the sickly girl has already stepped over them and claimed the highest position.
Xu Man: “Are you mad? This sickly girl is about to ascend the throne.”
The heroine's kindness has no brains and no edges. She didn't just burn the life contract of the rescued peasant girl to show her generosity. If the blood-sucking parents are talking about blood and family ties, you don't even have the certificate of sale. That's not letting anyone take what you want. You're so stupid.
