[Proud, scheming young lady × Pure-hearted, straightforward young master]
A rumble of thunder jolted Xu Yuan awake. She had become the daughter of a military general, on her way to be married.
The crowd around her was noisy. She had just stepped out of the bridal sedan when the groom came to lift her veil.
Older maid: “Young master, you mustn't!”
Groom: “But my bride can't see.”
Xu Yuan: Is he going to cause trouble and humiliate me in front of everyone?
After the wedding rites, Xu Yuan had barely taken a few steps with the others when she heard a commotion behind her.
“Young master, you don't need to go yet.”
“But don't I have to go to the bridal chamber with my bride?”
Xu Yuan was baffled. Had her parents really married her off to an idiot?
After asking her maid, she learned that the groom was the son of the prime minister, whose family had been enemies of hers for generations.
Xu Yuan was speechless. She decided to get back at him when he lifted her veil, and one “You're so ugly” was enough to make the groom shut down completely.
Watching him silently pull the veil over his own head, Xu Yuan excitedly snatched it away.
What a shock! Her husband was weeping like a pear blossom in the rain.
Xu Yuan sighed. Her husband might be an idiot, but he was breathtakingly handsome, and such a crybaby that she couldn't scold or criticize him.
But his whole family and mine are enemies. Should I even keep this husband...?
