In troubled times, a fatherless and motherless boy was adopted by the old abbot of Wuming Temple. The old abbot chanted sutras every day while facing west, his face full of sadness. The young man just thought that he had the Buddha in his heart. Until one day, the Buddha's light flourished in the dilapidated temple. The young man shouted happily that the Buddha had appeared, but the old abbot's expression changed drastically and he threw him into a dry well. Before falling, the young man vaguely saw six huge cicada-winged shadows behind the abbot, and then a cicada chirp echoed throughout the world and the young man completely lost consciousness.
