Help! My Tsundere Deskmate Is Actually My Roommate

(Two top students) (Living under the same roof) (He falls first) (Pure romance)

After her family falls on hard times, Su Jinning is forced to stay with the Xie family, old friends of her family. When she opens the door, she finds Xie Huaizhou, the aloof science whiz everyone adores. His eyes are full of pride and wariness as he tosses out, “At school, don’t let anyone know we know each other.” Su Jinning calmly nods and keeps to her place.

By day, they sit together at the back of the classroom, an unmistakable divide between them as they ignore each other. By night, they are housemates separated by a single wall, sharing the same hallway light.

She thinks they can keep the peace indefinitely, until one day Xie Huaizhou corners her in a dead end of the stairwell. His eyes red, he grits out with desperate humility, “Su Jinning, my family has strict rules against dating before graduation. Could you… not say yes to anyone else just yet? It would make me sad.”
