[A Different Kind of Cultivation + Some Power Fantasy + Not Mindless + Fresh Setting + Light Ensemble Cast]
Long ago, someone had a dream.
It was such a long dream that mountains, rivers, birds, beasts, and the bustling world of mortals all came to life within it. It was so long that the people in the dream began to wonder where they came from, gaze up at the sky, and yearn for immortality.
Later generations called the dreamer the Dream Ancestor.
The Dream Ancestor never woke up, or perhaps could not wake up. All living things exist within this dream, and everything exists because the Dream Ancestor dreamed of it. The Dream Ancestor's dream is the entirety of this world's "reality."
But this dream is falling apart.
