The first time humans stepped out of the solar system, they discovered a three-million-year-old corpse of a modern human on Proxima Centauri. The ancient spaceship where the body was located called humans the "Third Fire of Civilization" and left only a warning: You came back too early. Immediately afterwards, a signal passed across the stars and sent the position of the solar system to the depths of the Milky Way.
