After the Illusion, the Human Prince Became a Demon for Me

A masterful, flirtatious mirage demon heroine vs. a pure-hearted, fragile, self-deluding loyal puppy of a hero

(1v1, both leads are each other's only ones, lots of push and pull. She watches coldly as he falls for her, and won't love him until he becomes a demon, though she may feel sorry for him.)

Chi Miao is the second-in-command of the Demon King. She is ordered to approach the seventh prince, Nan Shuyao, because he is the bane of the demon race, the Child of Sincerity. Her mission is to destroy his sincere heart and strip him of his ability to seal the Demon Emperor.

Nan Shuyao grew up in the imperial palace. He had only heard about the world outside and had never seen it for himself. Though confined to the palace, he longed for the world beyond and was always thinking of leaving.

When an opportunity finally came, he left the palace and stepped into the web of love woven specifically for him. He never returned.

After the mission succeeds, just before the illusion collapses, Nan Shuyao offers up his soul to the Demon Emperor in exchange for becoming a demon of his own free will. Chi Miao is astonished by his choice and reveals her identity.

"I am the Primordial Mirage, the one your human race talks about. Countless humans have died by my hand. I am your people's greatest enemy."

"I, Chi Miao, will never fall in love with a human."

"Then I'll become a demon, and from now on, I'll work alongside you to revive the demon race."

The Child of Sincerity has defected. To bring a new Child of Sincerity into being, humanity sends countless demon hunters after Nan Shuyao. The demon race doesn't trust him, and humanity hates him. Trapped between the two races, he can hardly move. Fortunately, he still has her.
