Reborn in the 1980s: Why Be a Virtuous Wife When Being a Shrew Is More Fun?

Before her marriage, good-natured Wang Xiu'e was controlled by her birth family. After she married, her husband controlled her. After she became a widow, her two sons controlled her too.

People say desire gives you life, responsibility comes with raising children, and giving them a leg up is a kindness.

She did give her children a leg up, pouring her whole heart into providing for them. Yet all she got in return was a miserable old age, with her sons passing her back and forth like a hot potato.

Reborn into a new life, she was going to live differently.

Being considerate is all nonsense. Better to be a shrew than a virtuous wife.
