Dream of the Red Chamber: Qin Keqing Wields Lightning to Raise Daiyu

Reborn as Qin Keqing, the woman with the shortest life in Dream of the Red Chamber, Su Tan wants only one thing:

To live, then lie flat.

Spring water from her magical spring heals her frail body, and spiritual rice cooked into porridge warms her stomach.

Day by day, life gets better.

Daiyu is in poor health, so she cooks a bowl of spiritual rice porridge and watches the girl’s cheeks grow rosy.

Tanchun comes to ask for advice. Su Tan casually offers a few pointers, and the girl’s eyes light up.

Old Madam Jia takes her hand and says, “You’ve gotten your color back.” Su Tan smiles and agrees.

She doesn’t compete, scheme, or plot.

She only wants to take care of Daiyu.

From afar comes the whinny of warhorses. The childhood sweetheart who once came to her rescue has now risen above all others.

He says, “Just lie flat. I’ll take care of everything outside.”

And so sweet potatoes fill the household with their fragrance, while the spiritual fields in the rear courtyard stay green all year round.

Where Lei Ting stands guard is where the comforts of home are safest.
