Everyone laughs at Mo Tingzhou of the Lieyun Sword Sect, calling him a top-grade good-for-nothing who has spent ten years lying low. No one knows that he is a medical genius who transmigrated here, blessed with the heaven-defying Nine Meridians Returning to Origin Physique. For ten years, he has endured in silence, using modern medicine to secretly unblock seven severed meridians, all while waiting for the day he can turn the tables.
A wrongful accusation plunges the entire Mo family into prison, and Mo Tingzhou becomes a wanted criminal pursued throughout the realm by the Embroidered Guard. Trapped in a desperate situation on a rainy night, he forcibly breaks through to the next realm, revealing his edge for the first time as he slays his pursuers with a single strike. Just as all seems lost, Xia Zhiyan, the most beautiful woman under Heaven and a prodigy of the Lingzhi Sword Sect, rides through the rain to his rescue from a thousand miles away. Her words, “I owe you,” conceal a destiny long in the making as she accompanies him to perilous Liangzhou.
Bearing the mysterious jade pendant his father left behind, Mo Tingzhou sets out for the northwestern stronghold, determined to find the reclusive sword immortal Chu Jingzhe, uncover the truth behind the false accusation, and save his family. He unravels the workings of Heaven's great game with nothing but a mortal's body, and stirs up Liangzhou with his extraordinary cunning. Amid power struggles and undercurrents in the martial world, he gradually tears open the secrets of a fate sealed away for ten years, casts off his humiliation, defies Heaven with his sword, and rises to the pinnacle of the martial path!
