This is a reboot of Beastly Things: The Afterlife Pavilion Negatives / Lord of the Nine Hells.

Ever since the nonhuman market blew up Shanhai Elementary School, reporters and cameras have been chasing Mingzhu through the city. This was clearly interfering with his normal life, so one night, Mingzhu called Dizang to complain from beside a rice noodle stall.
"Xiao Zhu, go to Caiyun Mountain. It's a paradise from mythology, a world of imagination. I'll send someone to meet you."
"I'm Diting, Dizang's third mount and a senior official in the Underworld. I'm currently assigned to keep an eye on Mr. Ming as his companion."
But... perhaps keeping an eye on someone is also a way of connecting emotionally.
Mingzhu's arrival at Caiyun Mountain meant his life from then on was destined to be anything but peaceful.
But at least, in the end, he would have a silly dog by his side to face it all.
