His name is Li Ang, a food deliveryman.
Thirty years old, married, in arrears with rent, disliked by his wife, running fifteen hours a day, changing platforms, as tired as a dog. In the early morning of April 12th, on his way to deliver his last order of fried noodles, he was dazzled by the high beam of a truck.
When he woke up again, he was lying on a cracked wasteland. The sky is gray and white, there is no sun. The phone screen is broken and there is no signal. Standing in the distance was a scarecrow, wearing a black robe and a smiling face stitched on his cloth head.
He thought he had traveled to South Korea. Later he discovered that he had made a mistake - it was not the Republic of Korea, but the South Korea in the Seven Heroes of the Warring States Period. King Yingzheng of Qin was on the throne, and the six kingdoms had not yet been destroyed. War had been going on for hundreds of years, and the earth had been soaked with blood and resentment.
Those things grow out of blood.
Rotten forest. Ghouls. In the silent village, the living people were still walking around, but no longer talking. The scarecrow will turn its head. The water in the well is black. There is something crawling beneath the ground, waiting for the day it breaks out.
Li Ang just wants to live. He followed three Mohists - A Wu, A Zhi, and Xiao Shitou - to escape in the wilderness on the border. They told him that the world was sick and had been sick for a long time. After hundreds of years of war, too many people died. Fear and despair accumulated on the earth and could not be dissipated. They seeped into the soil and rivers and grew things that should not grow.
But that's not the whole truth.
Ying Zheng built the Great Wall not to control barbarians, but to suppress them. Jiuding is not a ritual weapon, it is an artifact left by Nyarlathotep in the world...
