The sunny, mischievous heir to a noble house versus the gloomy, gorgeous, aloof top courtesan
After his identity and whereabouts are exposed during an attempt to assassinate the Third Prince, Xie Yanyu is forced to disguise himself as a courtesan and hide in the Wanchun House. By chance, Shen Si pays for a night with him.
Love at first sight makes Shen Si instinctively stick close to Xie Yanyu, but he soon discovers that Xie Yanyu has been caught up in a struggle within the royal family. Shen Si has no choice but to reveal his strength to protect him, directly confronting the powerful Third Prince. Later, he accidentally discovers the calculating depths beneath Xie Yanyu’s delicate exterior.
Unable to accept that the courtesan he likes is actually a man, Shen Si instinctively flees to the frontier to escape. Xie Yanyu forcefully brings him back and locks him up, beginning a relationship built on coercion.
“Shen Si, you were the one who pursued me first. Want to run? Not a chance.”
The ruby on his earring swings wildly, but its owner can’t utter a single word.
The grand hall is filled with nothing but ragged breaths.
The first three chapters are a bit awkward, but the rest of the plot is okay
