Late one night, college student Lin Zhu is arguing with someone online.
There is only one point of contention: does the lone bamboo that a master has spent ten years studying really have anything special about it, or is it all hype?
In the heat of the argument, Lin Zhu accidentally gets electrocuted. When he wakes up, he has become a child in the Lin family, owners of a bamboo craft shop in Qingzhu Town on Douluo Dalu.
At age six, his Martial Soul Awakening takes place.
An ordinary lone bamboo, with Innate Soul Power at level three.
Lin Zhu stares at the slender bamboo in his palm, lost in thought.
The subject he spent his last life mocking is now growing right out of his hand.
The good news is, he has also awakened a golden finger: every time he makes a snarky comment, he earns points.
The bad news is, snarking in his head only earns a limited reward. To earn more, he has to say it to someone’s face and get a reaction.
And so, a couch potato who only wants to live a quiet life is forced down the path of making snarky comments at every possible opportunity.
From an ordinary lone bamboo to a mysterious mutation, from Qingzhu Town to Shrek, Lin Zhu enters a story that was once familiar but gradually goes off the rails, armed with only an incomplete memory of the original.
Facing his future companions, he introduces himself solemnly:
“My name is Lin Zhu.”
“Of course, you can also call me Brother Kun.”
“Don’t ask. It’s just a personal quirk.”
This is a lighthearted story about an ordinary college student with an ordinary lone bamboo, studying, cultivating, and making friends at Shrek, while taking the opportunity to make snarky comments about all of Douluo Dalu.
I followed the anime character design, but I didn't avoid the bugs, but I didn't go into them deeply. After all, I'm not like the extreme black master Hei Tang San.
Not bad, not bad. It's finally not the kind of novel that portrays Tang San and the Grandmaster as humanoid creatures. It's quite abstract. I just like to see such lighthearted and funny details. I won't pursue it until death. After all, it's just an abstract and funny fan novel. It's not bad.
It looks pretty and relatively normal.
I have a question, didn't Lin Zhu get his first soul ring at the age of 8? Tang San was 6 years old, how come they were the same age later? Let's sign up for Shrek 🤔
