Reborn in the Nineties: Dumping the Bleached-Blond Boy, Falling for a Rugged Hunk, Sweet as Honey

In her previous life, Lin Xiaofen was determined to elope with Li Jianjun, a bleached-blond punk, ignoring her parents as they knelt and begged her to come to her senses.

She thought she was marrying for love, but in the end, he beat her to death. Her parents also died in a car crash while rushing to save her and seek justice on her behalf.

Reborn on the day before the elopement, Lin Xiaofen slaps herself awake, then slaps Li Jianjun down.

She isn’t in a hurry to get married, let alone become some big-shot boss. All she wants is to take care of her parents: get medicine for her father’s leg, get her mother’s cough treated, and make sure there’s a hot meal every day in their drafty home.

With a rickety handcart, a pot of spicy wolf-tooth potatoes, and a little notebook full of ingredient prices, Lin Xiaofen starts selling food at the market, gradually bringing snacks from the future into the 1980s.

Li Jianjun’s family keeps trying to sabotage her out of jealousy, and she keeps humiliating them in public. Meanwhile, the taciturn, rugged He Xiangyang is always there behind her whenever she looks back.

But just as Lin Xiaofen finally manages to rent the run-down storefront in town, Li Jianjun shows up with his whole family and blocks the entrance, vowing to make sure she never opens for business.

This time, Lin Xiaofen will make them understand that every debt they owe her family of three will be paid back, one by one.
