Nine Gates fan fiction + Chen Pi pairing + no regrets
Changsha, in the early years of the Republic of China.
On the day Shen Qingtan arrived in Changsha, she had just put a fresh delivery of fritillaria on the medicine counter when she took on a customer afflicted with corpse venom.
She is the eldest legitimate daughter of the Shen family of Nanshan. Three years ago, her father died in the Xiling Mine while seeking the Nine-Turn Resurrection Herb. Carrying out his dying wishes, she came to Changsha to do two things: ask Er Yuehong for the three-hundred-year-old dragon's blood resin hidden in the Hong residence, and investigate why her mother was pushed into a pit of corpse beetles. She had barely managed to contain the poison in Zhang Qishan's subordinate when she ran into a maid from the Hong household coughing blood. It turned out that the lingering poison from the corpse venom had taken root years ago, and ordinary medicine couldn't suppress it...
