Proud CEO gong Wen Shu vs. self-made student from a poor family shou Jian Yi
[Sweet romance at first + melodramatic angst + rekindled love + groveling chase + two strong leads + a bad man with a real heart]
Wen Shu is the only son of the Wen family of the capital and the youngest CEO of Wen Group. He is shrewd, calculating, and a master of disguise. He has never cared for anyone, until he meets a graduate student in a club, dressed in a white shirt. Jian Yi is a top student in T University's finance department, so poor he can't even afford long johns, yet possessed of a stubborn, unbending spirit.
Wen Shu pursues him with bold, direct gestures that seem sincere and deeply devoted. But Wen Shu knows he isn't nearly as decent as he appears. He tacitly approved the agreement Wen Zhengting forced Jian Yi to sign. He's allergic to cat hair, but told Jian Yi it was just a cold. He likes small apartments because only in the cramped space of a home shared with one person does he feel safe.
But just when Jian Yi finally starts to trust him, Wen Shu tears everything apart with his own hands. A photograph from an unknown source and a carefully constructed chain of evidence make this man, who never trusts anyone and never lets anyone deceive him, push the person who loves him most into the abyss.
“Didn't you say you hate owing people? Well, now I'm telling you, you don't even have the right to owe me. As for all that time and money, consider it food for the dogs.”
He thinks Jian Yi betrayed him, but he couldn't be more wrong.
Three years later, Jian Yi returns. He's no longer the poor student in the worn-out sweater. Standing at the top of Wall Street, he uses the methods Wen Shu taught him to grind everything Wen Shu cherishes into dust, piece by piece.
“Mr. Wen, back then you taught me that the strong prey on the weak, and the victor takes all. I'm only putting what I learned into practice.”
