At the graduation ceremony, the principal excitedly announces, “Student Hao Yun, you are the police academy's once-in-a-century... cautionary tale!”
From then on, Hao Yun's police career goes completely off the rails.
He investigates missing pets and gets captured as a sacrifice by a group of mysterious people dressed in animal costumes. At a blind date banquet, his date pulls out a gun instead of a photo. When he finally earns a commendation, the wanted poster's sketch looks exactly like him, and the whole city starts hunting him down.
The entire police force thinks he's a joke, until a lucky break leads him to crack a twenty-year-old cold case. At the celebration banquet, the bureau chief offers him a cigarette himself. “Hao Yun, that last number your unlucky ex-girlfriend left behind...”
Hao Yun's hand trembles as he lights his cigarette. “That was my own burner number.”
