After Returning to Pallet Town

At sixteen, Ash defeated Leon and became the World Champion.

Fourteen years later, he earned his doctorate in Galar and returned to Pallet Town with Pikachu, hauling two suitcases full of books.

This time, there was no next stop.

Someone asked what he planned to do next.

Stay at the university, join a research institute, return to the League, or become a Trainer again: all of those seemed like possibilities.

But Ash hadn't decided yet.

So, for the time being, he moved back into his childhood bedroom, then returned to Professor Oak's Laboratory and met his old friends and Pokemon, who had all built lives of their own.

At ten, he knew he wanted to travel.

At sixteen, he knew he wanted to win.

At thirty, for the first time, he had no idea where to go next.
