[1970s + Military Marriage + Raising Kids + Getting Rich from the Sea + Divine Doctor's Face-Slapping + Love After Marriage]
When Su Jintang woke up, she had become a desperate abandoned wife, starving in a ramshackle seaside house in the 1970s.
In front of her were fraternal twins, trembling with hunger. Outside the door was her wicked mother-in-law, trying to snatch the children and cut off their food supply. The whole village laughed at her, saying her soldier husband had abandoned her.
Abandoned? Su Jintang let out a cold laugh, kicked her unruly mother-in-law to the ground, then dug a stack of intercepted money orders and her grandmother's handwritten medical text out of a crack in the wall.
They wanted to suck her dry? Dream on!
With one hand holding the precocious twins and the other clutching an iron hook for gathering seafood, she waded through the tides and collected sea cucumbers. With her extraordinary skills in traditional Chinese acupuncture and medicinal cooking, she made a fortune in an era of scarcity!
When she stormed into the military compound with three years of account books and her marriage certificate, a delicate-looking, fake-sweet nurse blocked the way. “Battalion Commander Lu doesn't even reply to your letters. How dare a country woman like you come here claiming to be family?”
Before Su Jintang could produce the evidence, her four-year-old daughter put her hands on her hips and snapped back fiercely: “Who are you? My dad has only one wife!”
The Battalion Commander Lu of legend, a man as hard as iron and ruthlessly impartial, hurried back. Seeing his beautiful, cool, prickly wife and the stack of money orders his family had stolen, this tough man, who never shed a tear even when bleeding, panicked for the first time.
From an abandoned wife on a remote island to a renowned provincial doctor, watch Su Jintang take on the worst people, raise her children, and turn her life around in a turbulent era!
But as her medicinal restaurant became a runaway hit, a shocking smuggling conspiracy involving military supplies quietly closed in on the newly reconciled couple...
